I send this letter to complain about the smallest space your company gives to the running genocide in rìthe sudanese region of Darfur.
People in Darfur have been dying since three years, but the alarm launched by humanitarian organisations supporting civil rights remains unheeded on major italian media. Until now dead people outnumbers three hundred thousand, refugees two hundred thousand and there are well over 2,5 million evacuated people, who altogether earned the crisis the name of “genocide”.

The Italian television media are today the most impostant information source, when not the only one, for the italian populace.The Television System keeps in his hands the power to give information, but also newpapers, maybe less effectively, can help to inform italians on what is happening in Darfur today. Very oftet, what is not on TV screen does not happen at all for the largest part of the italian families.

The Italian Media can contribute to stop injustice and atrocity feeding a higher level of knowledge about the genocide in Darfur, to end the dreadful actions against human rights and the dignity of the man.

As a user of a service both public- and private-held, I ask you to give higher priority to that living tragedy, through a more conscius programming giving dayly time and space to news and reportages about the genocide in Darfur.
